1st Annual Filipino Fiesta Charity Car Show

Hey everyone. It's been crazy these past couple of months and I HAD to get back and bring this site back up to speed.

If you didn't make it, just to let yo know the FFSCARSHOW was a great success. Over a hundred cars came and thousands attended. With hiccups early on, the ball continued to roll into what was a amazing first year event. First off, I want to thank the Filipino Counsel for making this possible and allowing us to help bring the community together.

Thank you Jeri Lee, Big Abe, and Genevieve Chanelle for coming out for the community. Thank you all of our sponsors for helping and for some of you for making the trip up here to display your socal flavor!!!

Without you all we seriously couldn't have done this.

We did get tho okay to do it again next year so keep and eye out for more info come January!!!

Team LoveHATE x HIN Pomona. Doing Work!!!

The day started at 2AM.  We woke up, cooked breakfast, threw on our gear and headed for a quick 500 mile drive to LA for the big show.

3AM: We rolled out of Sacramento and headed to our destination. Hot Import Nights Pomona Fairplex. We were very excited to be displaying where it all began.

7AM: We hit the Grapevine in four hours and another two till we arrived at our hotel in West Covina and dropped off our stuff.

10AM: We left from there we hopped back on the10 E San Bernardino drove a couple exits away and rolled in to get staged and check out all the SoCal whips.

I love that year... and below, Lee Ho's banger!!!

12PM: Once we passed the inspection we were given our passes and our cars were separated as we rolled into the venue. The G was with the Al and Ed's booth and the Mustang was by Donlyson Auto Concepts. I just want to say we are proud to represent all of our sponsors. A big shout out to JDM Sport, Al and Ed's AutoSound E. Pasadena, NRG, Donlyson, and a couple of new sponsors Cars4Cancer and Top Speed Racing / SRS Tuning.

3pm - 10pm: Here are a few pictures of the cars at the show and some of JDM Sport's Luscious Ladies!!!

 This car won 3rd palce for lighting... It had 24 freaking TV's!!!

 This Lexus was in the Donlyson Area. All their cars are super clean.

12am: Roll out from the event was quick and smooth. 

1am: We hit up In and Out and then went back to our rooms to crash out for the night. Well, that was a day for TLH. Hope you liked it.

We want to thank again everybody who made it possible to get us down there and help us represent Northern California tuner scene and all those that embrace the Western Itasha Movement. That means you Lee Ho, Jay, and Project Ride Northern California. That sums it up for HIN. Until the next event.

Team LoveHATE invades Monster Jam

We rolled out of Sacramento heading toward Oakland CA around 9am. This was our first MonsterJam and boy, were we in for a surprise! First off, we want to thank Lee Ho for setting this event up and Kris Boeson for taking care of us while we were there!!!

After we arrived we walked up to get our wristbands. You could feel that something was in the air and this event was going to be interesting. It took us a while to get staged into our final spot, but once we made it was time to start cleaning the rides. 

Pretty much the whole day was super windy. We had plenty of time to get the cars all cleaned up and badged for the event. I was really cool to watch everything behind the scenes before a show of this magnitude.  From staffing running around everywhere to that giant metal T Rex’s spewing fire tests. Being able to run around and get autographs before the public was awesome! Did I mention it was windy? 

As 3pm came around the gates to the “VIP Pit Party” finally opened up to the general public. Boy oh boy, this was freaking insane. Thousands of people surrounded our cars and a few even tried to climb inside.  We spent the next few hours protecting the cars and erecting a barrier to keep people off the cars but they still climbed over them anyways. -.- I never knew that so many people would be interested in our cars in one of our first truly public events.

We want to say thanks to our newest local sponsor TopSpeed Racing. All in all we hope that we get to do this again when they come back no northern California. On to HIN Pomona!!!

Team LoveHATE x FMAA eWaste Benefit

Saturday the 10^th we came out to help support our friends over at the Filipino Martial Arts Academy promote their eWaste benefit at their school in Natomas, California. The weather was pretty nice that day when we rolled in and a huge container was full of electronics all to help the non-profit organization, Eskrimador Samahan, an organization that helps kids learn the Filipino style of martial arts. The money raised will go toward the school and allow them to buy supplies and equipment needed to keep the school running.

We believe that fulfilling the needs of our youth in anyway to help them better themselves and build solid morals and sense of responsibility which will prepare them for big life decisions in the future is worth our time. 

The smell of BBQ and food set the tone for a nice relaxing afternoon. We backed up the G35 partially into the school and popped the trunk and fired up the Kinect sponsored and installed by Al & Ed's Autosound E. Pasadena for the kids to play Fruit Ninja. We enjoyed some throwing around the football, playing basketball and the company of our friends. I hope that we can come out again for their next event and share another afternoon while helping raise money for the school. Team LoveHATE's December Charity Run!!!

December is our busiest month when it comes to charity. From Toys to Tots to Operation Christmas. We are proud to set our trophies aside and pick up our Santa hats to bring joy to those who don't have it like we do. Every day we take for granted those gifts and blessings we experience with our lives so filled with shows, meets, work, and family. Rarely taking the time to actually stop and reflect on who we are.

Team LoveHATE has made it a point to freeze everything in December. Walk away from the gogo dancers, the smoke machines, industry parties, and our long anime / car show schedule to make time for THE KIDS!!!

Our first charity event actually was right before HIN. It was at Tapioca Express in Natomas and it was put on by Lazandro Sapinoso. The Charity: The Sacramento Children's Home. It was a small meet filled with people with big hearts. During a time when everyone is out shopping, several cars from various groups appeared for a common cause. Every car that came had to pay five dollars to display with the proceeds going to the Children's Home. Big props to all who attended. 

After our return from HIN "The Return", we geared up for MOAR CHARITY!!! SacCon, put on by Dan Houck and his SacAnime Family. Every year he puts on a show at the Scottish Rite Temple and uses the huge Anime fan base to help raise toys for the Marine's Toys for Tots. We spent a few hours there, dropped off some toys, met a few of our favorite cosplayers, and played catchup with a few of our friends who are usually on the road touring. 

 Our next event was "Drawing for the Kids" put on by Jason Dube's SCCG and friends at Empire Comics Vault. The event consisted of many artists coming together to create art and auction off with all the proceeds going to the kids and to receive donated canned goods to raise money for the Children's Receiving Home. We even did a special itasha-mobile for the kids and Charlo dressed up as Santa (he wore sunglasses so no one could see his almond eyes). The event was very successful and they were able to raise 700.00 for the Home.

The next day we headed out to Sacramento's Toys r Us to help Rodney Stanhope, (who camps out there for 3 weeks!!!) raise money for Yellow Ribbon America. We came in full force and DJ RSkee setup his system to help draw attention to the fundraiser. With such a prime location and with Christmas only days away, many onlookers couldn't help but stop by and drop something off to help the kids and families who have loved one fighting the war overseas. While we spend the year enjoying the freedoms we have, we can sometimes forget the soldiers fighting for it. I'm not sure how much they raised during that time but it was a ton of stuff!!! Expect us to be very involved with Rodney this year as we plan the 2st annual Team LoveHATE Holiday Car Show.
