All Good Things...

A super big Thank You from Team LoveHATE for everyone who came out to Decepti-Kon Gen1.

This convention was a test for us to see if we could make something new and different in only two months. We had fun and all of the special events went off without a hitch. Team LoveHATE's Charity Car Show and silent auction was able to raise almost $1000.00 towards American Red Cross Tsunami Relief. Big Props to Impartial Auron from Drunk Animation and their army of volunteers, they were the ones running around handing out water for free on Saturday. Without you guys chaos would have ruled the day and for that, TLH thanks YOU.

We also want to apologize to the vendors, special guests and media who were given misinformation prior and during the convention. TLH was also mislead in the same regards. Unfortunately, due to some management issues, TLH Staff and our special event groups have decided that we will no longer be affiliated with Decepti-Kon. We wish them the best in their endeavors.

So if you enjoyed the ever vigilant KAG Klingons, swarthy Sacramento Pirates, dueling with Amtgard's Thorians, hanging out with Drunk Animation, dancing to DJ RSkee, DubDuece, 420Skills, and DJ Kaminari, the unique sights of 1TenDrift RC cars, the NorCal Scion/EuroSunday Charity Carshow , the free promo items, games and free screening passes from Cyclonemovies.com, the underground beer pong room, and the wicked styles and forms of the Filipino Martial Arts Academy, keep an eye on TLH because we are not done yet... not by a long shot.

We will be releasing information soon about where and when you can enjoy TLH's first official event as we work on putting on our own convention. A con for Cosplayers, Otakus, Fanboys and various sub cultures whom all share a passion. TLH still believes in riding the cusp of what's new and hasn't been done and will do our best to raise the bar next year.

You heard it here first.

Always Keeping it REAL,

TLH

SacCon's Devout Arrive En Masse

The weather was a constant drizzle with the occasional burst of heavy rain Sunday at the Scottish Rite Temple, dark clouds loomed overhead jeering at the hundreds of fanboys, otaku and cosplayers who braved the elements to attend Dan Houck’s legendary SacCon. Many attendees even danced and hung around outside to take photos of TLH’s cars regardless of the pouring rain. The love for cosplay and collectables is a strong one indeed.

Although we didn’t setup our flags for display due to the rain, we were surprised at the attendance of this SacCon. Maybe it’s the yearning to share their latest cosplay, or the fact that the list of guests and vendors were too hard to resist. Walking through the convention, you forgot about the weather going on outside. The staff was kind as usual, and the vendors were plenty and of great variety. We saw plenty of our friends there like super movie poster dude, Anthony Leano, cosplay design goddess. Carly Breslin , examiner.com's. Oscar Benjamin and local comic guy, Jason Dube. We also made a few new ones.

All in all, I think SacCon was a success as well as a pleasant surprise for everyone on such a gloomy day.

We hope to see all of you at Decepti-kon Gen 1 April 16-17 at the Red Lion Inn Sacramento!!!
You seriously don’t want to miss it.
Three words… Epic…Flash…Mob… Like Guiness Book of World Records Epic. Don't miss it.

True Story.

All Good Things...

must come to an end... and some things are about to blow the frack up. Decepti-kon and Team LoveHATE have officially partnered up to bring to you a celebration of the fusion between American and Japanese anime, cosplay, comics, music, and art. A place where Stormtroopers mingle with the Akatsuki and Klingons pose with Ouran's Club. A venue where beer pong tournaments are held along side video game tournaments and the urban sounds of a nightclub fuse with the steady pounding of a rave. Where Fanboys and Otaku alike find themselves immersed with old friends and kind strangers. A visceral playground for the creative minds both young and old.

Welcome to Decepti-kon.

With our crosshairs pointed at the future of what conventions should be, we ride the cusp of what's new and what hasn't been done. Combining the youthfulness of first-time cosplayers and the acquired tastes of the "graduated" conventionist, we make "old hat" new again by providing all the amenities of a traditional con with alternative entertainment venues to satisfy the ones with more "urban" pursuits. As we gear up our artists pavilion and vendor room, we are working out the bracket system for what looks to the FIRST EVER beer pong tournament held at a convention.

Did I mention that this event will be streamed across the net to 3.2 million homes and televised?

Did I mention the group rate for rooms is $60.00? (so you better reserve now! the first 80 rooms will be right in front of the outdoor rave)

Did I mention that a weekend pass is only $20 bucks?

Did I mention that the beer pong tournament is only $10 to play? (not a bad price to be a part of history)

So make sure that you bring it on April 16th-17th because Decepti-kon and Team LoveHATE will.

Oh yeah... we have this game we're playing with the fliers.
There will be 3 of them: Common Autobot, Uncommon Decepticon, and the elusive Unicron.
Find them.
Collect them all and present them at the door and you win... something fricken cool.

Here's Team LoveHATE's gift to you... the first one. Good Luck!!!
